In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the General Manager, the Service Manager will provide essential leadership and support to the branch. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, along with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide overall leadership, motivation, and development for all service department personnel at the location.
  • Strive to achieve exceptional customer service levels, fostering high customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in establishing monthly and annual service volume forecasts and lead the department towards consistent profitability improvements.
  • Organize work schedules to ensure the efficient operation of the service department during current operating hours.
  • Oversee and determine the training programs for technicians and service advisors to maintain required proficiency levels.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures among all reporting employees.
  • Implement, execute, and monitor the Company's policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Promote and nurture a positive corporate culture both internally and externally.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of combined experience in the Heavy Truck, Automotive, or related industries is preferred.
  • Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Licensed Automotive Technician (310S) certification is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a positive thinker who is self-motivated.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Required competencies include customer service, administrative skills, team building, and proficiency with software and computers; SAP experience is a plus.
  • A clean Criminal Record Check is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean Drivers Abstract are necessary.
