About Dimitri's Place Restaurant

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled Shift Manager to join our team. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Ensure that staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Prepare and submit reports on restaurant operations and performance
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met
  • Team Management
    • Manage a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Working Conditions

The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
