We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Artisan Butcher to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the quality and cut of meat products, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Serve customers from the service meat counter, promoting service counter meat products, offering meal solutions, and providing product knowledge and cooking tips.
  • Recommend and sell customers meat products using suggestive selling skills.
  • Prepare specialty meat cuts as per customer specification, ensuring quality and cut compliance with Company standards.
  • Maintain the safety and sanitation of the department, adhering to Company policies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

  • Proven exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a certified meat cutter/butcher.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience cutting rail beef, veal, pork, and lamb in a retail meat environment.
  • Hours of work are 40 hours/week, made up of 4 days of 10 hour shifts every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
