Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Part-Time Snowboard Instructor
Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hr for Level 1 qualifications, escalating to $30.00/hr for Level 4 qualifications.
Position Summary:
Deliver exceptional snowboard instruction to guests of varying ages and skill levels, ensuring a memorable experience. Promote a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment for all participants. Execute additional responsibilities as directed by the Winter Sports School management.Essential Knowledge Areas:
Comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Staff Handbook. Follow the guidelines established during the Winter Sports School Orientation Training. Adhere to health and safety regulations and reporting protocols. Assist guests with inquiries related to resort services. Familiarity with Canadian snowboard instruction standards (CASI) or an equivalent globally recognized certification is preferred.Key Responsibilities:
Accept assignments that align with your qualifications and role within the Winter Sports School. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the standards outlined in your departmental manual. Provide outstanding guest service and ensure mountain safety for all visitors and staff. Deliver high-quality snowboard instruction in accordance with the standards set by the Ski & Snowboard School. Offer constructive feedback and guidance in a supportive manner to help students achieve their objectives. Ensure all interactions with guests and colleagues are professional and timely, reflecting the best interests of the resort. Support other departments and management with operational tasks as assigned.Required Skills:
Strong work ethic with a focus on both individual and team contributions. Effective communication and active listening abilities. Minimum Level 1 internationally recognized qualification(s) in snowboard instruction. Positive demeanor, punctuality, reliability, and accountability.Application Prerequisites:
Valid work authorization for Canada. Submission of a Cover Letter and Resume/CV. Proof of certification and active membership. Criminal Record Check with clearance for working with children, completed within the last year. Availability for orientation as scheduled.
