About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our transportation operations at Shoba Transportation Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation management, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the transportation department, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Manage the department's budget, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and expectations, and ensuring that their requirements are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, transportation, or business administration.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a transportation management role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
