We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Marketing Representative to join our team at Interfor. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in implementing our business development strategy and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Sales Plan: Actively contribute to the execution of our sales plan to ensure we maintain a strong market presence and achieve our sales goals.
  • Prospecting and Customer Service: Contribute to the team effort of prospecting and maintaining service to key customer categories to optimize sales volumes, pricing, product mix, shipping, and inventory.
  • Collaboration with Planning and Logistics: Work closely with our planning and logistics teams to better manage and execute our sales strategy.
  • Customer Management: Manage a core group of external customers and negotiate daily customer orders to maximize returns on different product mixes.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and communicate key market information to the sales team on an ongoing basis.
  • Relationship Building: Continually build and maintain solid long-term relationships with existing customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service with a goal of ensuring repeat business.
  • Order Management: Manage the order files under your responsibility.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or university degree in marketing, economics, or business administration, or any combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the business community, the lumber industry, the sale of commodities, or financial products.
  • Language Skills: Bilingualism in both French and English (verbal and written) due to the customer base being in both the US and Canada.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and relevant sales system technology.
  • Availability: Possess a valid driver's license and be available to travel on an occasional basis.
  • Soft Skills: A customer-oriented approach, listening, and communication skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to establish and maintain business relationships based on respect.
  • Personal Qualities: Planning, organization, and agility, team player, and ability to concentrate in a fast-paced and changing business environment.
