Position Overview:

Halliwell Consulting Corp is seeking a skilled Robotic Systems Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing our automated systems.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Work Schedule: Consistent day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjust robotic programming as necessary and contribute to efficiency improvements and cycle time reductions.
  • Set up robotic workstations by utilizing various computer programs stored within the robotic systems.
  • Maintain equipment and adhere to procedures during troubleshooting for projects focused on continuous improvement.
  • Assist in establishing and participating in a Preventative Maintenance program.
  • Conduct inspections of machinery for defects and potential issues in line with the preventative maintenance protocols; repair and replace components as needed.
  • Ensure that the work environment is kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Identify non-conforming products and take appropriate action.
  • Operate robotic machinery to achieve specified production outcomes.
  • Modify equipment settings and programs as required to ensure the production of high-quality components.
  • Report any irregularities in parts or machinery to the Supervisor promptly, suggesting corrective measures when applicable.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and assist in their ongoing implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality department to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform PLC backups (Mitsubishi / BIFAS / Allen Bradley).
  • Manage vision system backups and modifications.
  • Conduct equipment calibrations and capability assessments.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and comfortable workplace by adhering to the principles of the 5S methodology (separate, simplify, sanitize, standardize, and support).

Qualifications:

  • Electromechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma is required.
  • Experience with automated production lines and pallet conveyor systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and communication with robotic controls is necessary.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make informed technical decisions.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of computerized Preventative Maintenance and Work Order systems are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent planning and time management abilities, with a focus on producing quality work efficiently.
  • Ability to complete tasks on time while maintaining a professional appearance in work quality.
  • Document any necessary changes accurately on drawings and PLC files.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Extensive experience in programming and troubleshooting Fanuc robots is preferred.
  • Must meet the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001.
