Job Summary

C.O.R.E. Services is seeking a highly skilled Robotic Welding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our robotic welding cells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Instruct and train employees on the safe operation of all welding operations, including equipment setup, changeover, safety guarding, and safe operating practices.
  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the Maintenance Technician to promptly resolve equipment performance issues.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend process improvements to management to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Quality Control: Perform product destructive testing, correct processes as necessary, and report findings.
  • Welding Process Management: Conduct daily welding process parameter checks and inspections to ensure quality.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, including repairs, as instructed by the Welding Supervisor.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of perishable supplies in a secure, organized manner.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review welding processes to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance replacement/installation of perishable items consumed during the welding process.
  • Process Documentation: Update and maintain process setup sheets, including corrections in conjunction with the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to read, communicate effectively, and comprehend instructions.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to read and follow instructions diligently.
  • Quality Focus: Must recognize the importance of quality control and perform dispensation accordingly.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Background in manufacturing technology.
  • Education: College technical education considered an asset.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related hands-on setup and troubleshooting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to maintain ABB robotic cells, MIG, and resistance type welders.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Training in welder process control, M.I.G welding experience, and M.I.G, T.I.G certificate.
