Job Summary

C.O.R.E. Services is seeking a highly skilled Robotic Welding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our robotic welding cells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Instruct and train employees on the safe operation of all welding operations, including equipment setup, changeovers, safety guarding, and operating practices.
  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the Maintenance Technician to promptly resolve equipment performance issues.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend process improvements to management to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Quality Control: Perform product destructive testing, correct processes as necessary, and report findings.
  • Welding Process Checks: Conduct daily welding process parameter checks and inspections to ensure quality.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, including repairs, as instructed by the Welding Supervisor.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of perishable supplies in a secure, organized manner.
  • Process Review: Continuously review welding processes to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance replacement/installation of perishable items consumed during the welding process.
  • Process Setup Sheets: Follow and update process setup sheets, making corrections as necessary in conjunction with the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to read and communicate effectively with strong comprehension skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to read and follow work and setup instructions diligently.
  • Quality Control: Must recognize the importance of and perform quality control dispensation.
  • Manufacturing Background: Background in manufacturing technology.
  • Education: College technical education considered an asset.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related hands-on setup and troubleshooting experience.
  • ABB Robotic Cell Maintenance: Ability to maintain ABB robotic cells, MIG, and resistance-type welders.
  • Welder Process Control Training: Preferred training in welder process control.
  • MIG Welding Experience: MIG welding experience required.
  • Certifications: MIG, TIG certificate considered an asset.
