- Oversee all phases of accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable for property operations.
- Lead the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while guiding department leaders.
- Resolve guest billing disputes promptly to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
- Respond to all guest billing inquiries within 48 hours of receipt.
- Compile regular reports and summaries of financial activities as needed.
- Review all ledger details, including guest, city, and deposit ledgers, to ensure accurate payment and revenue postings.
- Ensure all new hire documentation and benefits information are accurately maintained.
- Participate in property inventory assessments.
- Reconcile and finalize daily cash deposits.
- Provide training and guidance to hotel staff on accounting processes and internal controls.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures to maintain effective control over accounting activities.
- Embody and promote the corporate culture in daily interactions with guests and team members.
- Be an inclusive and inspiring leader who connects with all team levels.
- Create a supportive and enjoyable work atmosphere that empowers team members to excel.
- Primarily a weekday schedule, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
- Travel to various hotel locations may be necessary.
- Significant time spent using a computer.
- Regular communication with hotel management and corporate finance teams.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- A fast-paced industry with high performance expectations.
- Ability to think strategically under pressure.
- At least two years of proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Relevant accounting education or coursework is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across multiple departments.
- Friendly and cooperative attitude, with a strong ability to work well with others.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional analytical skills for report preparation and problem-solving.
- Proficient in computer applications, with knowledge of SAGE, Maestro, Opera, POS, Delphi, and Excel being beneficial.
- Availability to work on holidays as needed.
- Intermediate Excel skills are essential.
