About the Role

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Claims Assistant II to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation.

As a Legal Claims Assistant II, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers, including scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, and preparing pleadings. You will also implement an effective diary system to manage the lawyer's practice and partner with assigned lawyers to manage workflow and scheduling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to lawyers, including scheduling meetings and drafting correspondence
  • Implementing an effective diary system to manage the lawyer's practice
  • Partnering with assigned lawyers to manage workflow and scheduling
  • Supporting clients with scheduling appointments and exchanging information
  • Reviewing and managing documents using software programs
  • Providing support to assistants, clerks, lawyers, and management
  • Proficiency in dictation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Updating knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
What You Bring to the Table

We're looking for a candidate with a college diploma in legal office administration or law clerk program, or equivalent education and experience. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in insurance defence litigation is required, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong document management skills.
