Recreation Services Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all customer interactions within the facility, including:
- Responding to phone inquiries and welcoming guests upon entry,
- Providing information about programs and answering queries, and
- Handling registrations, facility reservations, and retail transactions using cash, ActiveNet, and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Manage daily front office operations, such as:
- Conducting filing and administrative tasks, including daily reporting and correspondence,
- Preparing necessary documentation for programs,
- Organizing equipment for instructors and program personnel, and
- Updating manuals and leisure guide information as needed.
- Track class registration statistics and relay information to recreation personnel.
- Supervise the facility and report any issues or irregularities to management.
- Assist maintenance staff in setting up and cleaning rooms, equipment, and supplies for programs as necessary.
- Carry out additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 Diploma.
- Proven experience in recreation, retail, or tourism sectors.
- Background in retail operations management with extensive knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting, engaging with key internal and external stakeholders while functioning effectively with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a quick adaptability to relevant software; experience with ActiveNet is an asset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts for a 7-day operation and potential overtime.
- Ability to fulfill the physical demands of the position.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safety culture.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- A valid Ontario driver's license, Class 'G', with a clean driving record.
Compensation: $21.16 per hour
Work Location: Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
Work Schedule: Monday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM
