The Clinical Practice & Education segment, part of the Interprofessional Development department, is dedicated to supporting staff with their educational and professional development needs.

Position Overview

This role focuses on the Juravinski C3 Oncology unit, RESSCU, and Brachytherapy clinic. The Education Clinician will be an integral member of a corporate education resource team, also contributing to central education initiatives across various sites.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday; daytime hours.

Qualifications

1. Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
2. Bachelor’s degree in nursing; a master’s degree is preferred.
3. Minimum of three years of recent experience in oncology nursing, with comprehensive knowledge of radiation therapy, gynecological oncology, oncological emergencies, antineoplastic administration, pain management, and vascular access therapy.
4. Current Chemotherapy certification recognized in Ontario.
5. At least one year of recent experience in an adult education capacity.
6. Proven experience as a preceptor for staff and/or students.
7. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop new nursing staff.
8. Evidence of skills in developing, conducting, and evaluating educational programs for diverse healthcare learners.
9. Experience in assessing learning activities related to individual and organizational performance.
10. CON (c) certification.

As a condition of employment, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
