Senior Business Analyst


CB Canada is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders across various departments to collect business requirements and create essential business documentation utilizing industry best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders across different departments to gather business requirements and create essential business documentation using industry best practices.
  • Engage in the project analysis phase by collecting, documenting, and managing user needs and requirements as they pertain to the implementation of various project phases.
  • Ensure consistency and continuity by actively participating in and contributing to the detailed design phase.
  • Conduct analysis by gathering information and engaging in discussions with internal and external users to elicit user requirements.
  • Work alongside key stakeholders across IT and external partners to facilitate the execution of specific engagement strategies and plans.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed business requirements on systems and collaborate with technical experts to suggest solutions.
  • Enhance and refine business processes within both technology and business departments.
  • Prepare and present presentations and status reports to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training sessions and presentations for end users, as necessary.
  • Assist in transitioning the solution to operations utilizing a hybrid project delivery methodology.
  • Participate in functional and user experience testing with project stakeholders.
  • Engage in additional activities and deliverables as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A university degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, business analysis, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, utilizing clear and persuasive written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate with others to achieve common objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation.
  • Experience in participating in or contributing to RFP processes.
  • Familiarity with Operational Risk Management concepts, principles, policies, frameworks, models, and practices.
