The salary range for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in this position is $45,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Management (70% of Time)

  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable to reduce overdue customer accounts, which involves contacting customers via phone or email to request payment.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate credit policies and procedures to maintain positive customer relations.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or inquiries.
  • Generate and post manual invoices.
  • Conduct account reconciliations, including cash accounts.
  • Submit customer invoices through third-party portals.
  • Distribute invoices, statements, and payment reminders to customers.

Accounting Projects (30% of Time)

  • Perform daily deposits of checks.
  • Submit customer invoices using third-party portals.
  • Record customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Send invoices, statements, and payment reminders to customers.
  • Engage in other accounting and finance projects as assigned by management.
Success Factors for an AR Specialist:

Experience Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounts receivable is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.

  • Experience in the heavy truck industry is a valuable asset.
Educational Qualifications:
  • CCP designation or progress towards it is advantageous.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • A one-year accounting certificate is preferred.
