Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a communications strategy that aligns with the union's goals and objectives
- Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders
- Develop and disseminate press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy
- Provide strategic counsel to the leadership team on communications-related matters
Requirements:
- Proven experience in communications and public relations, preferably in a unionized environment
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and effective communications materials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of labor relations and collective bargaining principles
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $120,000-130,000
