Delivery Manager Job Description

At Superior Propane Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Manager to oversee and enhance the scheduling and dispatching of our drivers, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the National Logistics Management team, regional managers, and field staff to gather feedback and implement strategic enhancements in delivery and logistics.
  • Champion the use of technology to optimize delivery routes and schedules, ensuring that customer needs are met while adhering to safety standards.
  • Mentor and support your team in achieving their goals through the enforcement of standardized procedures.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as a point of escalation for Delivery Coordinators and Planning Specialists.
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of people leadership experience preferably in distribution, logistics or customer service.
  • Proven team management experience, with the ability to mentor and motivate a high-performance workforce.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet peak demand pressures.
  • Above-average analytical skills, including logistics planning, budget management, and general financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and support for change initiatives.
