Area Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop Your Team: Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Manage Operations: Oversee safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure seamless execution of our operations.
  • Collaborate with Support Teams: Work closely with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans that meet business objectives.
  • Physical Demands: Lift up to 49 pounds, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, and stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of employee and performance management experience, or equivalent.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Flexibility: Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Performance Metrics: 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
