Your Role:

We are seeking a proactive ICT consultant to become a vital part of our expanding, multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will encompass the design of various ICT systems adhering to TIA/EIA/BICSI standards and industry best practices. You will provide comprehensive technical support for Stantec opportunities and ensure the effective delivery of technical services to our clients. Success will be measured by high client satisfaction levels regarding on-site service delivery, technical support, and contractor collaboration, as well as your contributions to proposal preparation, mentorship of technologists and engineers, and collaboration with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design ICT systems tailored for the built environment, including pathway layouts, low voltage device and telecommunications outlet plans, single line drawings, and technical specifications. Systems include, but are not limited to: Electronic Security Systems, Structured Cabling Systems, Paging Systems, Wireless Systems, and Data Network Systems.
  • Manage design development and documentation in both written and computer-aided design formats.
  • Prepare ICT tender documents and specifications for a variety of facilities including commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, public, and private sectors.
  • Conduct ICT Project Management activities such as pre-engagement and post-engagement site assessments, customer discovery meetings, on-site evaluations, report generation, deliverable reviews, and other necessary field activities.
  • Act as the technical resource lead for Field Engineers and other team members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation input. Assist in resource planning, prioritization of tasks, and documentation of regional processes and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with both external and internal clients to develop engineering projects.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with Stantec Consulting Ltd. and client standards.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian electrical standards and codes.
  • Strong understanding of TIA/BICSI standards and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering, accompanied by a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in ICT.

The role typically involves working in an office environment with extended periods of computer use. Fieldwork may expose you to various weather conditions.
