Position Overview

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of the community. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Wellbeing Leader to spearhead initiatives that promote a holistic approach to workplace wellbeing.

Role Summary

The Wellbeing Leader will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of a comprehensive workplace wellbeing strategy. This strategy aims to cultivate a culture of psychological safety, inclusivity, and meaningful engagement among healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Manager of Provincial Wellbeing to design and implement programs that enhance the mental health and wellbeing of the healthcare workforce.
  2. Lead initiatives that address crisis response, recovery promotion, and mental health awareness.
  3. Act as a change agent, modeling the values of workplace wellbeing and providing support through educational resources and psychological assistance.
  4. Facilitate the delivery of a Critical Incident Stress Response Program, ensuring comprehensive support services are available.
  5. Engage with various stakeholders, including health service organizations and regulatory bodies, to foster a collaborative approach to wellbeing.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of five years of experience in the healthcare sector or a related field.
  2. Proven clinical expertise in trauma-informed care and mental health interventions.
  3. Strong understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in program delivery.
  4. Experience working with Indigenous communities and culturally diverse populations.
  5. Educational background in a health-related discipline, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Nursing.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual communication platforms.
  2. Exceptional clinical skills, including assessment and crisis intervention.
  3. Ability to lead training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals.
  4. Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to work in a standard office environment and travel as needed.
  2. Flexibility to accommodate occasional evening or weekend commitments.
