Position Overview

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality and accessibility of health services across the region. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Wellbeing Leader to spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive workplace wellbeing strategy.

Role Summary

This pivotal role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to create a culture of holistic wellbeing, psychological safety, and meaningful connection within the healthcare workforce. The Wellbeing Leader will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing initiatives that promote mental health and wellbeing.
  • Providing education and training to enhance awareness of mental health supports.
  • Serving as a role model and change agent to foster a supportive organizational culture.
  • Leading the delivery of a Critical Incident Stress Response Program.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Provincial Wellbeing, the Wellbeing Leader will:

  • Develop and evaluate strategies aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery Organizations and other health providers to ensure effective implementation of wellbeing initiatives.
  • Utilize strong clinical knowledge to provide psychological support and interventions.
  • Engage with diverse populations, ensuring sensitivity and inclusivity in all initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of mental health interventions.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care and Critical Incident Stress Response.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

The role may require occasional travel and the ability to work in a typical office environment. Flexibility in hours may be necessary to accommodate various initiatives.
