As an Assistant Store Leader, you will play a crucial role in nurturing a team atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and positive relationships. In this position, you will assist the Store Manager in guiding and leading the team to meet store objectives, which encompass sales and profit targets, recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the store meets company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide leadership in maintaining an operationally efficient business by adhering to company policies, procedures, loss prevention strategies, payroll management, reporting, and scheduling.
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and training top talent who are focused on sales, customer service, and fashion.
- Set a standard for The Torrid Connection and ensure the team delivers a shopping experience that fosters positive customer relationships and loyalty.
- Support the Store Manager in executing merchandise strategies while ensuring a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that encourages customer engagement.
- Maintain effective communication with the Store Manager and District Manager.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of six months of management experience in specialty or apparel retail, with a proven track record of leading teams to success and achieving sales goals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Retail and fashion are ever-evolving, so adaptability and flexibility in response to changing situations, environments, challenges, job responsibilities, and work schedules are essential for success.
- A keen interest in fashion trends and a focus on staying current with industry developments.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
- Capable of packing and unpacking shipments, arranging and moving store fixtures, and lifting packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, and other equipment.
