Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety protocols and provide guidance to employees.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry partners to stay up-to-date on safety best practices.

Requirements:

  • NCSO Designation is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation is considered an asset.
  • Previous management experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Alberta & British Columbia WCB and OHS Legislation.
  • Familiarity with CSAZ460 and CSAZ462.
  • Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals, and Driving & Journey Management certificates.
  • Flexible work schedule, including shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills.
