Job Overview:

The Academic Program Coordinator is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and ongoing management of an educational program or department. This role encompasses comprehensive administrative oversight, including the coordination of all program facets such as curriculum management, implementation, marketing, recruitment, admissions, resource allocation, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative leadership in alignment with the program's objectives by evaluating and addressing both long-term and immediate needs. Identify and assess challenges within the program, preparing actionable recommendations for the program Director's consideration. Gather, analyze, and synthesize relevant information to support decision-making processes, developing proposals for final approval and execution. Advise students to ensure their course selections and program choices comply with established academic, prerequisite, and graduation standards. Offer students comprehensive information regarding program policies and requirements. Utilize existing admissions criteria to evaluate program applications, determining eligibility for acceptance or declination. Review academic records to confirm students' eligibility for program continuation and graduation. Serve as a liaison between faculty and students, addressing various concerns including special accommodations, scheduling conflicts, and grading issues. Compile and organize information necessary for various documents and reports, including program accreditation, enrollment statistics, and degree audits. Develop time estimates, resource allocations, and budget forecasts for diverse program activities and events. Oversee the program budget, creating financial projections and making necessary adjustments throughout the fiscal period. Implement appropriate controls, monitor, and reconcile financial accounts. Design marketing materials for various purposes, functions, and events. Promote the program to both internal and external stakeholders. Maintain and update content on the departmental website. Conduct surveys and monitor academic offerings from competing institutions while researching effective pedagogical practices. Prepare and deliver informative presentations. Facilitate meetings with program stakeholders and student groups. Organize and coordinate logistics for annual events and meetings. Source pricing information and independently make purchasing decisions for program equipment and supplies. Input financial and other data necessary for payroll processing. Update and maintain student records and databases.

Supervision Responsibilities:

Responsible for the ongoing hiring and supervision of up to 9 casual employees simultaneously.
