Position Overview

As a Sales Specialist in the Production Animal Division, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth through effective communication and relationship management with customers. Your primary responsibilities will include managing inbound and outbound sales interactions while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular outbound communications to designated clients and territories.
  • Facilitate both new and repeat sales by providing timely product and technical insights to customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Utilize strategic selling techniques, including up-selling and cross-selling, to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Inform customers about product advantages and features to boost sales and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Encourage referrals from existing clients and manufacturer representatives.
  • Stay informed about market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.

Customer Engagement

  • Foster strong collaborative relationships within the organization and with external partners.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support; respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction trends.

Administrative Duties

  • Ensure precision in customer transactions within the order entry system, including orders, quotes, and returns.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions and potential sales opportunities.
  • Understand and comply with Accounts Receivables policies and procedures.
  • Generate and review sales reports to track performance metrics.
  • Oversee scheduled shipment timelines to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Confirm pricing and terms according to established protocols and customer profitability standards.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Completion of a College Diploma or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Inside Sales or Customer Service.
  • Proven track record of surpassing sales targets.
  • Outstanding customer service and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in general computer applications, including MS Office.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in inside sales with a history of achieving and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Background in Animal Health, particularly within the production animal sector.
  • Familiarity with AIMS or similar inventory management systems.
