Principal Program Manager

CB Canada is seeking a Principal Program Manager to oversee significant initiatives within the organization.

Principal Program Manager – Role Overview

  • Provide strategic leadership and expertise in managing large-scale, complex, and high-stakes projects that may span multiple jurisdictions or the entire organization.
  • Ensure accountability for the centralized group of projects, overseeing their successful delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Deliver programs efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to the organization's established methodologies, standards, and frameworks.
  • Engage with subject matter experts across various teams (e.g., business, technical, data, analytics) to gather insights and build consensus on a data stewardship model.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics Operating Model project to maintain alignment across parallel workstreams.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and issues before they arise, developing appropriate mitigation strategies; recognize potential conflicts between project and functional areas.

Principal Program Manager – Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading and managing program strategy development from inception to project closure, including transitions to operations, business planning, benefits identification, and funding requests for Information & Information Technology programs.
  • Ability to understand and articulate executive expectations in the Information & Information Technology domain, translating them into actionable program deliverables.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and developing talent within the team.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in analyzing program and organizational environments to identify risks and issues; effectively communicates and prioritizes these to senior executives, recommending mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Innovative approach to planning, analysis, and execution of tasks.
  • Experience in stakeholder consultation, facilitation, and consensus-building.
  • Responsible for providing program, portfolio, and project reporting to various stakeholders.
  • Adherence to organizational standards and best practices for program management.
  • Experience in scheduling and organizing meetings/events while maintaining agendas.
  • Ensures proper use of technology for all operations, including video conferencing and presentations.
