Job Title: Advanced Practice Clinical Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Clinical Leader to join our team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

About the Role

This is a full-time, temporary position (September 5, 2025) in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment (PRT) Service, Clinical Care. As an Advanced Practice Clinical Leader, you will play a key role in supporting point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with the services' Advanced Practice Clinical Leader team to support models of care.
  • Role model clinical practice in complex care situations.
  • Engage in direct care activities for complex and high-risk clients.
  • Support interprofessional collaborative care, academic, and research opportunities.
  • Promote the implementation and audit of documentation standards.
  • Participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety.
  • Supervise graduate students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Master's Degree in a regulated health discipline and be a member of good standing in the regulatory body. In addition, you will have 5 years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment, with a strong understanding of the complex psychiatric and physical health needs of this clinical population.

Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health, or other relevant certification, are an asset. Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto is also required.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to provide professional practice leadership, challenge and motivate others, and enhance academic and research endeavours. They will also have experience in leading change and providing advanced clinical care in a culturally diverse environment.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching, and computer skills are essential for this role. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
