Job Summary:

Claireport Place Banquet & Convention Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the most authentic and traditional quality of Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase the authentic flavors and techniques of Sri Lankan cuisine.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are knowledgeable about and able to prepare traditional Sri Lankan dishes.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to ensure that they are adequate and of high quality.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work with the culinary team to plan and execute special events and menus.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques to ensure that our menu offerings are innovative and exciting.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Proven track record of success in preparing and serving traditional Sri Lankan cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance.
