Job Summary

The Lead Project Controller plays a critical role in managing the financial, scheduling, risk, and change aspects of projects. This position involves overseeing budget preparation, cost tracking, and financial forecasting to maintain project financial health. The role also requires developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and identifying potential risks to safeguard project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Control Systems Development
    • Design and implement comprehensive project control systems to monitor project progress, track budgets, and manage timelines effectively.
  • Process Standardization
    • Standardize project control procedures across all projects to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Training and Team Development
    • Organize training sessions for project controllers and related staff to ensure proficiency in using new systems and processes.
  • Reporting System Establishment
    • Develop a systematic approach for creating and distributing reports that provide critical insights into project status, financial health, and risk exposure.
  • Integration of Project Control Tools
    • Ensure project control tools are fully integrated into daily project operations.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of project control processes and systems in place.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure project control systems meet organizational needs.
Requirements
  • Education
    • A University degree in a related field.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of experience in project controls with a high level of experience in planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating.
  • Skills
    • Proficient with Primavera P6, InEight (Hard Dollar), and Excel.
    • Proficient in Oracle's JD Edwards software suite, particularly the Project Management Products.
    • Familiarity with Data Access Studio by ReportsNow and 4castPlus or similar Project Management software.
