About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Smoke's Poutinerie. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow
    • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Food Quality and Presentation
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to a high standard
    • Monitor food quality and make adjustments as needed
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that stock is ordered in a timely manner
    • Monitor waste and implement cost-saving measures
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or related field
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
