About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Smoke's Poutinerie. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow
    • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
    • Conduct regular quality control checks
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering
    • Minimize food waste and optimize inventory
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate kitchen staff
    • Provide training and development opportunities
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a head chef or executive chef
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations
