Position Overview:
Select People Solutions is collaborating with a leading transportation firm in their quest for a skilled Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. This role is ideal for an individual who is exceptionally organized, proactive, and thrives in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee mileage management while adhering to Federal and Provincial Hours of Service regulations.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and the Safety Department to fulfill fleet operational needs.
  • Ensure profitability levels are maintained as per management's expectations.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications effectively.
  • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and documentation.
  • Prioritize safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in all operations.
  • Plan and oversee permits for oversized loads, including arrangements for pilot vehicles.

Qualifications:
  • Willingness to relocate to the designated area.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cross-border shipping laws and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, particularly in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Proficient in dispatch and fleet management software applications.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to adapt swiftly to changing situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Competent in using MS Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service or administrative support roles.

Education & Experience:
  • A diploma or degree in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous but not mandatory based on experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant dispatch or fleet management experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Hours of Service and ELD regulations.
  • Certifications in logistics or fleet management are beneficial.

Additional Considerations:
  • Preference for candidates already residing in the area.
  • Post-secondary education in business or administration is a plus.
  • Prior experience in dispatch or logistics roles is advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Annual salary is projected at $60,000.
  • Health benefits will be available after a specified period.
  • This is a full-time, permanent position.
