We are seeking a Senior Manager of Customer Value Insights to play a pivotal role in the success of Canadian Banking. This position is essential in ensuring that individual objectives, strategies, and initiatives align with the overarching business goals of the Bank.

The Senior Manager will primarily focus on delivering business intelligence and data analytics that support Sales Channels, Customer Performance, and Customer Profitability. Utilizing advanced analytics tools such as PowerBI, SQL, SAS, Python, and Advanced Excel, this role will access diverse data sources to extract valuable insights and support various business initiatives. Collaboration with the Director of Customer Value & Digital Performance and multiple stakeholders, including Analytics, Strategy, Business Lines, and Channels, will be a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a customer-centric culture to enhance client relationships and leverage broader Bank resources.
  • Oversee, mentor, and guide direct reports to achieve their potential.
  • Provide Strategic Business Insights:
    • Act as a subject matter expert in Retail Banking Strategy and Customer initiatives, offering insights on impacts to channel and customer performance.
    • Collaborate with business teams to analyze key customer and financial data, identifying trends and providing recommendations for Digital and other Channel Performance.
    • Engage with the Canadian Banking CFO and Retail Business Leaders to identify performance drivers and address concerns, summarizing insights and recommendations on channel and customer performance across products.
  • Champion Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Develop and present analytics solutions and dashboards to assist teams and business partners in gaining insights and making informed decisions.
    • Deliver dynamic reporting and analysis on key performance metrics to various stakeholders across retail, small business, product lines, and strategic groups.
    • Support product costing processes by understanding the costing methodology related to Canadian Banking products.
    • Provide strategic analysis to optimize existing accounts and product mixes across channels.
    • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple business initiatives and ad-hoc analyses in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Consider the Bank's risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decision-making.
  • Strive for operational efficiency in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory, and conduct risk obligations.
  • Promote a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Banking, Reporting, Analytics, Strategy, or Finance.
  • Proficient in working with and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proactive with excellent presentation and written communication abilities.
  • Proven facilitation skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable to various tasks and functions with changing demands.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • A curious and innovative approach to drive progress amidst uncertainty.
