We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Customer Value Insights to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Canadian Banking Finance team, you will be responsible for delivering business intelligence and data analytics to support sales channels, customer performance, and customer profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Business Intelligence and Data Analytics: Develop and implement business intelligence and data analytics solutions to support sales channels, customer performance, and customer profitability.
- Strategic Support: Provide strategic support to the Director, Customer Value & Digital Performance, and work closely with various stakeholders, including analytics, strategy, business lines, and channels.
- Leadership and Management: Manage, coach, and provide mentorship to direct reports, and champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Analytics Solutions and Dashboards: Create and showcase analytics solutions and dashboards to help teams and business partners gain insight, build business cases, and make fact-based decisions.
- Dynamic Reporting and Analysis: Provide dynamic reporting and analysis on key performance metrics to various stakeholders in retail, small business, product lines, channels, and other strategic groups.
- Product Costing Process: Review and support the product costing process and methodology by examining and understanding the methodology of the costing system as it relates to Canadian Banking products.
- Strategic Analysis: Provide strategic analysis to assist the business to optimize existing accounts and product mix from various channels.
- Operational Excellence: Effectively manage and prioritize multiple business initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc analysis with business stakeholders, and understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in banking, reporting, analytics, and strategy, finance, with experience in working with and manipulating large data sets.
- Skills: Very strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with ability to be proactive, strong presentation and written communication skills, strong facilitation skills with proven accomplishments leading cross-functional teams, flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions with changing demands, strong problem-solving skills, and a flair for getting things done.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or economics.
