Head of Teaching Partnerships and Public Services

The University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced librarian to fill the role of Head, Teaching Partnerships and Public Services. This is a full-time, ongoing position that will provide intellectual and administrative leadership for the Library's Teaching Partnerships and Public Services unit.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the Library's Teaching Partnerships and Public Services unit, which includes the Learning and Curriculum Support team and the Public Services team. This role will involve working collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning initiatives that support student success and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Library's Teaching Partnerships and Public Services unit
- Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning initiatives that support student success and academic excellence
- Collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to develop and implement library services and programs that support teaching and learning
- Provide intellectual and administrative leadership for the Library's Teaching Partnerships and Public Services unit
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support the unit's goals and objectives
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Library and Information Science or a related field, and significant experience in academic librarianship, particularly in teaching and learning services. They will also have excellent leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
