About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at Yellowknives Dene First Nation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and oversight to ensure the effective management of our financial resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
    • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Operations and Compliance
    • Oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.
  • Leadership and Team Management

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
