Overview

The Market Insights and Engagement (MI&E) team is dedicated to enhancing programs and products within the organization. This team collaborates with various Associations across the regulated technologies to foster behavioral changes and improve safety outcomes.

Role Summary

The Insights and Engagement Specialist is responsible for designing and executing product, market, and evaluation research utilizing best practices. This role supports the development and implementation of effective provincial safety policies, regulations, and programs. The Specialist collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable strategies aimed at enhancing compliance and safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a knowledgeable advisor to organizational leaders and project managers, helping them identify their insight generation needs.
  • Design and facilitate research and evaluation initiatives that align with decision-maker requirements and adhere to best practices.
  • Assist in the formulation of product segment strategies and roadmaps through comprehensive research and market analysis.
  • Engage in experimental design, applying innovative approaches to problem-solving.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Extract meaningful insights from data and communicate research findings effectively.
  • Present qualitative and quantitative data in clear and innovative formats.
  • Advocate for evidence-based recommendations concerning product, policy, or program design.
  • Lead initiatives to centralize and enhance the accessibility of existing research and knowledge.
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert in establishing organizational standards.
  • Support the ongoing learning and development of the team and the broader organization.
  • Contribute to reports, presentations, and business cases.
  • Foster personal professional development goals.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in psychology, marketing, product/program development, management, evaluation, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product discovery, client engagement, and qualitative/quantitative analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of best practices.
  • Proficient in data visualization, knowledge translation, and both verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Effective project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM and other software is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high degree of tact and confidentiality.
  • A sense of humor.
