About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Accountant to join our team at 1034277 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to optimize financial performance.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Analyze clients' financial records to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Examine accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies.
    • Prepare financial statements and reports to stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act, or other statutory requirements.
    • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
  • Financial Advice
    • Provide financial, business, and tax advice to clients.
    • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Supervision
    • Oversee payroll administration and supervise a team of 3-4 people.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a Charterered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification.
    • Hold a Certified General Accountants (CGA) - level 1 certification.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge
    • Proficient in accounting software, CANTAX, MS Office, MS Excel, and Sage Accounting Software.
  • Security and Safety
    • Meet the requirements for bondability.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Own transportation and have access to paid parking.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Work under pressure and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Accurate, dependable, efficient, and excellent oral communication skills.
    • Take initiative, be organized, and a team player with the ability to multitask.
