The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, SSEVM


is tasked with spearheading organization-wide sourcing and project initiatives while collaborating closely with senior leadership across business units and other sourcing professionals.

This role presents an opportunity to enhance existing processes aimed at centralizing and consolidating supplier selection across the organization.

By fostering a competitive marketplace, the Senior Manager will consistently drive reductions in the overall costs associated with goods and services acquired.

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to align with enterprise goals, influence key stakeholders, and lead sourcing strategies while working on sourcing initiatives and projects
  • Partner with Business Unit and Operations leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of essential business drivers, spending patterns, and necessary support levels
  • Deliver business value through the establishment of high-quality and cost-effective supplier relationships, while advocating for total cost of ownership (TCO) savings achieved through leveraging organization-wide purchasing power, strategic supplier partnerships, demand management, or indirect savings realized by driving innovation and enhancing the overall efficiency of the supply management process
  • Oversee categories within and across the organization’s business segments, serving as a key contributor to a well-developed and evolving supplier management framework
  • Ensure consistent application of procurement processes across various groups
  • Promote a customer-centric culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader organizational relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Actively seek effective and efficient operations in respective areas, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations regarding operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
Do you possess the skills that will enable you to excel in this role? We would be eager to collaborate with you if you have:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management abilities and comfort in engaging with senior leaders
  • Knowledge of financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI B-10) and their application to Third Party relationships is preferred
  • Capability to understand complex technical and financial matters and utilize them to inform the development of effective action plans and supplier strategies
  • Aptitude for fostering collaborative working relationships with global stakeholder groups.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a high level of professionalism

  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field; a master's degree (MA) in business or a related field is an asset
-5+ years of progressive sourcing experience
