About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement and Vendor Management Leader to join our team at Sourcing Industry Group (SIG). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with our business objectives, ensuring cost containment and vendor relationship management.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Proactively identify risks associated with key vendors and manage vendor performance against negotiated SLA and MSA terms.
  • Procurement Process Improvement: Lead the transformation of the procurement function to implement best practice through the procurement process, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and trained.
  • Cost Control and Savings: Implement measures to control spend and foster a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs, partnering with the Finance team to review insights into monthly vendor spending and track savings secured.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to senior management on procurement activities, savings achieved, and policy compliance, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in a procurement and vendor management role or related field in a SaaS/Technology/Start-up environment and 2-5 years managing people.
  • Proven success with software rationalization, including developing and implementing long-term procurement strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated experience in managing contracts and vendor performance with a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated experience in building procurement workflows and establishing processes and best practices procurement infrastructure, with a focus on technology procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills to drive consensus and the best outcomes for SIG.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders at all levels.
