Position Overview: The Technology Sourcing Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing enterprise-wide technology procurement and project initiatives, collaborating closely with senior leadership across various business units and sourcing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with senior business leaders to identify and understand critical business and spending drivers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Drive value creation through the establishment of high-quality, cost-effective supplier partnerships, focusing on total cost of ownership (TCO) savings by leveraging the organization's purchasing power and fostering strategic supplier relationships.
- Manage procurement categories across the organization, contributing significantly to the development and enhancement of a robust supplier management framework.
- Oversee sourcing initiatives for cross-functional teams, ensuring effective strategy formulation, market evaluations, request for proposal (RFP) processes, contract negotiations, and supplier management, while promoting collaboration and innovation.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers during major sourcing and project initiatives.
- Work proactively with business line leaders and contract managers to comprehend business needs and strategies, developing a comprehensive supplier contract strategy that consolidates and optimizes contracts.
- Support the consistent application of procurement processes across various groups within the organization.
- Understand and integrate the organization's risk appetite and culture into daily operations and decision-making processes.
- Strive for operational efficiency in respective areas, ensuring adherence to business controls and compliance with operational risk, regulatory requirements, and conduct standards.
- Foster a high-performance culture by implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops talent, while promoting an inclusive work environment and managing succession planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field; a master's degree (MA or MSc) in business, engineering, computer information systems, science, or finance is advantageous.
- Preferred certification: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
- Experience in global sourcing, particularly in technology services.
- Strong communication skills to bridge interactions between sourcing, IT, business, and legal stakeholders, with a focus on contract structuring to meet organizational needs.
- Proven change leadership and conflict resolution capabilities, along with advanced problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with comfort in engaging with senior leaders.
- Ability to analyze complex technical and financial issues to inform effective action plans and supplier strategies.
- Familiarity with modern procurement and analytical technologies.
