Role Overview: As a Procurement Operations Leader for the Amazon Fulfillment Center team, you will be responsible for overseeing the site's indirect procurement operations. This includes duties such as forecasting, inventory oversight, purchase order management, and vendor relations with third-party service providers. You will spearhead supplier management KPI and metrics reporting while collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Procurement Operations Manager to provide operational support for the fulfillment center, which encompasses forecasting of non-inventory products, inventory management, and supplier management.
  2. Lead a team of non-inventory receivers to ensure the facility is well-resourced and prepared for success.
  3. Gain in-depth knowledge of non-inventory items and align with similar facilities to promote best practices.
  4. Manage KPIs to evaluate, control, and benchmark procurement processes, including generating recurring metrics reports to drive operational enhancements.
  5. Establish relationships across the facility and network to ensure effective sharing and implementation of best practices.
  6. Work closely with internal customers, Finance, and Procurement Operations to comprehend budgetary objectives and develop methods for measuring savings and value.
  7. Utilize insights from the category team to construct a metrics model that tracks and monitors performance relative to the category strategy.
  8. Assess actual versus planned savings; as trends emerge, develop action plans to achieve goals and propose solutions.
  9. Collaborate internally and with suppliers to devise innovative solutions that support the Operations network.
  10. Implement measurement strategies for suppliers to foster continuous performance improvement on behalf of Amazon.
  11. Oversee the demand identification, procurement, and inventory management of all non-merchandise items necessary for building operations, including packing materials and janitorial services.
  12. Partner with the Category team to manage and maintain supplier scorecards.
  13. Work with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure prompt resolution of vendor payment issues.
  14. Support both procurement operations and category management teams.
  15. Be prepared to work in a warehouse environment that involves frequent movement throughout the facility, with comfort in varying temperature conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
  • 1+ years of experience in employee and performance management.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience with Amazon.
  • Experience in supplier or vendor relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement.
  • Familiarity with Coupa or other financial management/procurement software.
