Strategic Procurement Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our real estate and construction category management efforts. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business value and improve supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead category management strategies to support retail, DDS & ESG for all of Loblaw divisions and affiliates.
- Manage multiple internal and external partners to respond to business partners' requirements and needs.
- Develop sourcing events, analyze the supply market, and ensure all compliance objectives from a contractual standpoint are met.
- Engage business partners proactively to find opportunities to improve category products and services, provide market insights, and address vendor performance and process issues.
- Lead complex contract negotiations, manage multiple partners, and influence decision making to minimize Enterprise risk.
- Work with the Supplier Relationship Manager to monitor and manage category performance, vendor performance against contract obligations, and vendor relationships.
- Constantly monitor vendor market and find opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts.
- 6-8 years of category management, sourcing, and analytical skills or equivalent work experience.
- ~2-5 years of procurement experience specifically within the real estate and construction industries is an asset.
- ~ A minimum of BS/BComm in business, a quantitative field, or engineering.
- ~ Creative, quality-focused, and results-oriented.
- ~ Proven project management skills.
- ~ Strong organization and follow-through, handling multiple projects of high financial impact and/or complexity.
- ~ Knowledge of procurement in real estate and construction industries, supplier base, and market trends.
- ~ Demonstrated ability to implement Technology category management standard processes.
- ~ Working knowledge of category management.
- ~ Understanding and demonstrated ability of advanced procurement techniques.
- ~ PC skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
