In alignment with the established vision and values of the organization, the Clinical Nurse Educator operates in accordance with the standards of professional practice and ethical guidelines as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), while adhering to a person and family-centered care model.

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is tasked with identifying, planning, developing, and delivering training sessions for staff to ensure they meet their essential competencies in accordance with their professional scope.

They compile, implement, and assess both general and unit-specific Orientation and Education programs for the staff. The CNE also facilitates the development and ongoing management of the department's preceptorship and mentorship initiatives.

Additionally, the CNE participates in the continuous review and revision of patient care standards, policies, and procedures, coordinating in-service programs aimed at fulfilling the ongoing educational needs of the staff.



  • Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a Long-Term Care environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a CNA certification in Gerontology and/or Dementia.
  • Applicants should be willing to travel as required.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00

Compensation :
The new wage is: $67.08/hour

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing along with three years of recent related experience and two years of formal experience in adult education and curriculum development; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in the relevant clinical area.
  • Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Current CPR certification.
