We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Park Ranger Service to join our team at the District of North Vancouver. As a key member of our Parks Department, you will be responsible for supervising and directing the day-to-day operations of our park rangers team, ensuring safe and effective park services.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the park rangers team, ensuring compliance with regulations and bylaws.
- Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and effective park services.
- Oversee public education and engagement initiatives to promote positive relationships with park visitors, public safety, and environmental protection.
- Conduct regular patrols, investigate complaints, and enforce bylaws and regulations with tact and impartiality.
- Coordinate emergency response protocols and ensure rapid assessment and assistance.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, external agencies, and the public.
- Diploma in natural resource management, environmental science, or a related field, supplemented by training in regulatory enforcement and emergency response.
- Considerable experience in regulatory enforcement, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Level 1 First Aid Certification, CPR certification, and a valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.
