Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the day-to-day operations of the park rangers team, ensuring safe and effective services.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and bylaws.
  • Conduct regular patrols, investigate complaints, and enforce bylaws and regulations.
  • Provide public education and engagement to promote positive relationships with visitors, public safety, and environmental protection.
Requirements
  • Considerable knowledge of park use regulations, bylaws, laws, policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Sound knowledge of park ranger services, public education, safety, park operations, visitor management strategies, and effective customer service.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions, regularly walk long distances on varied terrain, and respond to emergency situations.
Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this unionized position is $[hourly rate] per hour (2024 rates).
