We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Saffron Indian Restaurant & Bar. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they have the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.
- Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, ensuring that we are running efficiently and effectively.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Team Player: Work as part of a team, requiring flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.
