Job Summary

The Senior Spiritual Leader provides strategic oversight to all aspects of the church, driving its mission and vision forward. This role requires a strong leader who can foster a culture of spiritual growth, community engagement, and outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Oversight
    • Provide spiritual guidance and direction to the church community
    • Collaborate with the Church Board to develop and implement strategic plans
    • Ensure the church's mission and vision are aligned with its operations
  • Community Engagement
    • Develop and implement outreach programs to engage with the local community
    • Foster relationships with community leaders and organizations
    • Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations
  • Ministry Development
    • Develop and implement effective ministry strategies
    • Identify and cultivate volunteer leaders and lay ministers
    • Provide training and support for ministry teams
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies
    • Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to achieve common goals
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the Church Board
Requirements
  • Education
    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in related pastoral or theological studies
  • Experience
    • Experience working in pastoral ministry with a track record of ministry effectiveness and fruitfulness
    • Cross-cultural ministry experience or ability to adapt to diverse cultural contexts
  • Credentials
    • Credentialed or credentiable with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada
