At Giant Tiger, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team in Kingston. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area, stockroom, and sales floor.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and operating a cash register.
  • Restock merchandise, maintain planograms, and ensure accurate pricing and signage.
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory levels to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and other products.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
