Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning and maintaining the grocery department to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer needs.
  • Following food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning protocols, to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
  • Processing orders, managing clearance and markdowns, and applying product protection when required.
  • Ensuring the department is fully stocked and ready for business.
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
